Constant current LED drivers maximize light output without over stressing the LEDs to provide consistent, even light. By controlling the maximum current going through the circuit, these LED drivers prevent thermal runaway. When the driver is used to power the LED load directly, we will require constant current drivers. The output voltage varies depending on the LED load, the more LEDs the driver is powering, the greater the output voltage will be, up to a maximum value as allowed by the driver.
