DALI is an international standard for digital lighting control. Its full name is the Digital Addressable Interface Standard. It is an open asynchronous serial digital communication protocol. DALI protocol is a dedicated lighting control protocol, only used for led dimmable driver lighting system. It is easy to connect with the building automation system BAS, and is a supplement to the BAS system.

(1) DALI is an international standard for digital lighting control, and its full name is a digital addressable interface standard.

(2) The communication speed of DALI is 1200bps, the maximum transmission distance is 300m, and the network can be composed of 64 short addresses or 16 group addresses at most. One master can control one or more slaves.

(3) The voltage on the DALI bus is 16V, the high level range is 9.5-22.5V, and the low voltage level is -6.5V-6.5V

(4) DALI management commands: switch, dimming, lighting scene, status monitoring

Switch: can switch independent DALI electronic ballast group or all ballasts in the system

Dimming: used to adjust the brightness of electronic ballasts and lamps, ranging from 0.1% to 100%. In order to ensure the service life of the bulb, usually the lowest brightness in practical applications should not be less than 3%

Lighting scene: 16 lighting scenes can be set and realized in the DALI system

Status monitoring: used to display or obtain the status of electronic ballasts and lights
