The two control ways is controller sinks current and source current.

The IEC standard in the lighting industry is use control to be the current sink.

The ANSI standard in theater lighting is to control the current source.

You cannot mix these two standard led controllers or led drives.

The standard is met to ensure compatibility, not performance.
